With the No. 12 pick in the 2021 NBA Draft, the San Antonio Spurs selected Canada's Joshua Primo.

The youngest player in college basketball this season, Primo averaged 8.1 points and 3.4 rebounds per game on .431/.381/.750 shooting splits as a freshman at Alabama. He was named to the Southeastern Conference (SEC) All-Freshman Team alongside the likes of Moses Moody, Sharife Cooper and Keon Johnson.

Primo saw his stock rise with a strong performance at the 2021 NBA Draft Combine.

"Primo is seen as a moldable prospect with above-average size for his position," wrote NBA.com's draft expert Kyle Irving . "His biggest strength is his perimeter shooting, knocking down shots with confidence from anywhere beyond the arc, flashing some range beyond there as well.

"He has developed as a shot creator with a raw ability to put the ball on the floor and pull up for jumpers or use his size to finish at the rim."
