NBA Draft 2021

2021 NBA Draft Lottery: Detroit Pistons win the lottery, earn No. 1 overall pick in 2021 NBA Draft

The order for the 2021 NBA Draft has been set.

Winners of the 2021 NBA Draft Lottery, the Detroit Pistons have the No. 1 pick in this year's draft.

The Pistons entered the 2021 NBA Draft Lottery with a 14.0% chance of getting the No. 1 pick, placing them in a three-way tie for the highest odds.

This was the third lottery in which the bottom three teams had an equal 14.0 percent chance of getting the No. 1 pick. In 2019, the New Orleans Pelicans won the lottery and selected Zion Williamson. In 2020, the Minnesota Timberwolves won the lottery and selected Anthony Edwards.

This will mark the fourth time Detroit has had the No. 1 pick. The first time they selected Jimmy Walker, all the way back in 1967. Their most recent No. 1 overall pick was back in 1970, when they selected Bob Lanier.
