Given the current circumstances that the world is battling in the form of the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2020 Jr. NBA Global Championship went virtual.

The annual summer event, which was in its third year, tipped-off on July 27. It featured teams of 13 and 14-year-old male and female players from eight different regions across the world (Africa, Asia Pacific, Canada, China, Europe & the Middle East, India, Latin America and Mexico) and eight U.S. regions (Central, Mid-Atlantic, Midwest, Northeast, Northwest, South, Southeast and West).

The teams competed in a series of virtual basketball competitions using HomeCourt, a mobile basketball training app that uses advanced artificial intelligence to track key performance metrics such as speed, vertical jump, shot accuracy, release time and ball handling.

In the Boys bracket, at the end of the competition, the Asia Pacific region was named Boys Champions after their representative Bien beat out Frankie from the U.S. Mid-Atlantic region.
