Last week, the starters for the 2019 NBA All-Star Game were announced.

Representing the Eastern Conference will be Kyrie Irving, Kemba Walker, Kawhi Leonard, Giannis Antetokounmpo and Joel Embiid. Representing the Western Conference will be Stephen Curry, James Harden, Paul George, LeBron James and Kevin Durant.

Having received the most votes, James and Antetokounmpo will be the captains for their respective conferences.

MORE: Who should the reserves be?

Fans accounted for half of the vote to determine the starters for this year's All-Star Game. Current NBA players and a media panel accounted for the other half, with each side representing 25 percent of the vote.

All of the votes were counted and each player was then ranked. The two backcourt players and three frontcourt players from each conference with the highest weighted rank were named the starters.

With that in mind, here are some takeaways from the final vote returns...

How the fans voted

Western Conference Eastern Conference
Backcourt - Stephen Curry (1) Backcourt - Kyrie Irving (1)
Backcourt - Derrick Rose (2) Backcourt - Dwyane Wade (2)
Frontcourt - LeBron James (1) Frontcourt - Giannis Antetokounmpo (1)
Frontcourt - Luka Doncic (2) Frontcourt - Kawhi Leonard (2)
Frontcourt - Kevin Durant (3) Frontcourt - Joel Embiid (3)

Other takeaways

A total of 23 players received over a million fan votes, including Kyle Kuzma, Jayson Tatum, Steven Adams and DeMar DeRozan.

LeBron James was the only frontcourt player in the Western Conference to receive more fan votes than Luka Doncic. Doncic finished eighth in player vote and sixth in media vote, giving him a weighted score of 4.5.

That put the rookie phenom behind LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Paul George and Anthony Davis.

The players and media had Anthony Davis as their third starter in the Western Conference, but finishing fifth in the fan vote gave him the same weighted score as Paul George. With the fan vote serving as the tiebreaker, George gets the nod.

Derrick Rose finished second in fan vote, fourth in player vote and sixth in media vote. His weighted score was 3.5, tied with Russell Westbrook for the third-best among Western Conference guards and ahead of Damian Lillard, Klay Thompson and DeMar DeRozan.

Though his weighted score was 7.5, Pascal Siakam ranked fourth in the media vote. His Toronto Raptors teammate Kyle Lowry ranked sixth in the fan vote and seventh in both the player and media vote. That put Lowry behind Kyrie Irving, Kemba Walker, Dwyane Wade, Ben Simmons and Victor Oladipo in Eastern Conference guard voting.

The Eastern Conference frontcourt of Giannis Antetokounmpo, Kawhi Leonard and Joel Embiid is the only position the fans, players and media agreed on.

Despite being an MVP candidate this season, Nikola Jokic finished behind LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Paul George, Anthony Davis and Luka Doncic in Western Conference frontcourt voting.
