Toronto Raptors become first team in 46 years to have five players average at least 15 points per game

There's equal-opportunity offence and there's the 2019-20 Toronto Raptors.

On any given night, there are several players that can be the team's No. 1 option. So much, in fact, that the Raptors have become the first team in 46 years to have five different players that played in at least 70% of the team's games to average 15 or more points per game, per Justin Kubatko of StatMuse.

Toronto Raptors leading scorers, 2019-20 season
Player GP PPG
Pascal Siakam 60 22.9
Kyle Lowry 58 19.4
Fred VanVleet 54 17.6
Norman Powell 51 16.0
Serge Ibaka 55 15.4

The last team to do so? The 1973-74 Buffalo Braves, who were led by Hall of Famer Bob McAdoo's 30.6 points per game.

As evidenced by the variety in the number of games played by the Raptors' leading scorers, different players have stepped up in the absence of others. According to Spotrac's Injured List Tracker, Toronto has missed 219 man-games to injury this season, second among all potential playoff teams, with the Portland Trail Blazers missing 248 man-games.

More evidence that any player can step up on any given night? Toronto has had eight different leading scorers in games throughout the 2019-20 season, with Siakam serving as the team's leading scorer in 29 of the 60 games in which he's played.

Seven different Raptors have scored 30 or more points in a game this season, including rookie Terence Davis II, who scored a career-high 31 points in a win over the Chicago Bulls, making him one of just nine rookies to score 30 in a game this season.

As Toronto prepares for the 2020 postseason, its offensive arsenal is something the Brooklyn Nets might have a tough time preparing for.
