2018 NBA Draft: Tracking each transaction made on draft night

In 2017, 14 trades were made on draft day. Fourteen .

While last year's figure may be hard to top, the 2018 draft could see big names on the move as contending teams look to retool in order to compete with the back-to-back champion Golden State Warriors. 

The first move was made ahead of the draft when the Brooklyn Nets acquired Dwight Howard from the Charlotte Hornets on Wednesday. The Nets are reportedly negotiating a contract buyout that will make Howard a free agent this offseason.

Brooklyn Nets acquire Dwight Howard from Hornets

• Charlotte acquires the No. 45 pick, Timofey Mozgov and a future second-round pick

• Brooklyn acquires Dwight Howard

Atlanta Hawks and Dallas Mavericks swap picks
